MLB Last Week! Tuesday Plays

CLICK THE BANNER FOR $100!!

Reds +111
Reds are one of the hottest teams down the stretch and Votto and Bruce are getting the job done. The Astros are going through the motions and I will take the dog here. Volquez: 12-5 TSR when the money line is +125 to -125

Red Sox +101
Wakefield has been miserable lately but he can make up for it with a good game tonight to help his team make it in the playoffs after Beckett failed last night. Lee has had a great year but becoming hittable late in the season.

Blue Jays +101

The jays at home as dogs are not a bad play in this spot. The yankees are a veteran team that know the right time to cash it in for the season and after the big game to close out Yankee Stadium this is it. Litsch has had better numbers than Moose in his last three starts.Litsch: TOR 83-55 at home when playing on Tuesday

White Sox +130
Ozzie challenged his pitcher to win a big game and here is his chance to get the job done. The Twins are 2-6 in the last eight and are in trouble tonight. Vazquez: 22-7 TSR vs. division

Wednesday Early MLB

San Diego +118

This game to me is all about starting pitching. Hernandez is done and the
Rockies will use him to finish up the stretch but that is about as far as he
will go. He has been absolutely torn apart at home at 0-2 with an ERA over 14.
Geer has given up just two earned in his last three starts to include a game
against the Rockies. Hernandez has only given up two or less in 2 of his last
ten starts and has allowed 14 in his last two starts against the Padres. Left
handers are hitting just .188 against Geer.

The bats for the Rockies blew up yesterday but they are still hitting just
.192 in the last ten while the Padres are hitting over .300 in that same
spot.

Play On
All underdogs with a money line of +100 to +150 (SAN
DIEGO)
with a starting pitcher whose WHIP is 1.550 to 1.650 on the season-NL,
with a struggling bullpen whose ERA is over 6.00 the last 10 games

82-58 since 1997.

Sunday MLB

Last Week Total:15-10-1, +6.02

Monday 2-1, +.90
Tuesday: 4-2,
+4.05
Wednesday: 5-1, +4.45
Thursday: 2-1, +1.43
Friday: 2-4,
-1.57
Overall this week: 15-9, +9.26

Took a day off after suffering my first losing day of the week but back for
some plays on Sunday.

Fla/NYM Over 9 -115
Olsen is in trouble
and his numbers are getting worse as the year goes on. Pedro has not looked so
sharp either so I will go with the over here. Martinez: 9-1 Over in road
games
Olsen: Fla 8-3 Over vs. Mets

Mets -115
Pedro has not
pitched so great but again Olsen is done to me and the mets will get plenty of
runs to help Pedro get through the day!

Play On
Road teams (NY
METS)
with a starting pitcher whose ERA is 5.20 to 5.70 on the season (NL),
with a struggling bullpen whose WHIP is over 2.000 the last 5 games

71-53
since 1997.
57.3% (39.4 units)

Seattle +130
After the huge
winning streak the Tribe is back down to earth and its Seattle that is playing
very well. In the battle between two lefties the M's have the edge at the
plate.

Play On
Road underdogs with a money line of +125 to +175
(SEATTLE)
after 2 straight games where they committed no errors, starting a
pitcher who gave up <=2 earned runs in his last 2 outings

167-176
since 1997.
48.7% (65.6 units)

Washington +119
Balester is a
stud and he will be this teams ace in a year or so if not sooner. I don't get
how anyone can bet against the nats right now or on the Braves on the road as
favorites.

Since I am up on the week I like to toss in a Sunday Parlay

METS & OVER 9

Good Luck today all!

Tuesday MLB

Tuesday MLB for tonight --

Before I get to MLB make sure to check out my newest forum on the

PST
$25,000 NFL Contest!!

This will be the smack talking, pick sharing, and showboating thread for the
contest!

Florida PK

For those that don't know it I really think that Florida is a sleeper to win
the East and to go deep in the NL playoffs. They play great at home and I will
back them in this spot. Lohs has been a beanbag of late.

Arz / Col over 9

This is the time of year when the ball is flying out of Coors field. The unit
is pitching very well but the Rockies hit lefties well especially at home.
Over is 10-4 in ARI last 14 road
games

Good Luck tonight!

Yanks +120

Kennedy has a shot to prove he should be in the bigs and had great numbers in
the minors. Weaver i smore than hittable and the Yanks win here.

Play Against
Home teams (LA ANGELS)
below
average AL hitting team (AVG <=.265) against a team with a good bullpen (ERA
<=3.75), playing on Friday

131-90 since
1997.
59.3% (39.5 units)

Seattle +164

This may be a stretch but Seattle and Ibanez are red hot. I don't like Silva
as the starter but this offense is clicking and with this price at home I can't
pass up the M's. Play On
Home
teams (SEATTLE)
with a decent bullpen whose WHIP is 1.350 to 1.450 on
the season, with a cold starting pitcher- ERA >= 7.50 over his last 3
starts

195-128 over the last 5
seasons.
60.4% (64.4 units)

Florida +125

I still have a future on Florida to win the east and they do so with a win
tonight on the road against the Mets. Nolasco: 8-2 TSR as a road underdog of
+100 to +150 and
Perez: NYM 25-34 when the money line is -100 to -150

Changes in MLB affect Plays

I thought this would be the appropiate title with all of the changes going on
in the big leagues. Tonight's card suggested it was the perfect theme.

Oakland @ Boston:

Okay homer disclaimer as I am a BoSox fan and I am still not sure I have
gotten over the Manny deal but here we go.

Boston -139

The most telling news to me is when Peter Gammons said this is a relief for
Franconia. Dealing with Manny had worn on him so much it was physically ailing
him. Tito is a players manager and if it affected him then it affected the team.
The Loose attitude will get them in the win column tonight against Oakland. I
don't make a habit of betting on teams that have lost three straight but so has
Oakland and at least the sox lost to LAA.

Rockies -107

The fish let the deadline go with no changes and seem alright fo rit but this
line is stinky! The rockies are a favorite?!?! this line stinks so of course I am
biting on it. Take the Rockies.

Angels -105

These teams both made changes but the most evident one was Pudge not being
able to handle the Yankee pitching staff just yet. It takes awhile for a catcher
and Ponson needs help. The Angels have not skipped a beat since Tex joined them.
Best team in baseball at this price is worth it.

Cinciny -108

The reds shipped off Griffey and to me this is close to the Manny
situation. The reds team was ready to move him and it made Dunn happy and made
room for youngsters. Bailey is tough on the Hill but Washington has a skin and
bones line up.

Play On
Road teams (CINCINNATI)
after a game
where they had 17 or more hits, in August games

103-68 since
1997.
60.2% (44.1 units)

KC +124

The White Sox made some changes bringin Griffey but he will not make an
immeadiate impact and in fact the Royals are really hot right now. The White Sox
come limping out of Minnesota just to get ambushed by KC.

Play Against
Any team (CHI WHITE SOX)
with a
starting pitcher whose ERA is 4.70 to 5.20 on the season (AL), with a rested
bullpen - threw <= 2 innings in each of the last 2
games

131-89 over the last 5
seasons.

Wednesday MLB

Pittsburgh +150

The Pirates are hitting the ball really well right now while it looks like
the Rockies are trhowing in the towel blowing one lead after another. Duke has
had his troubles of late but a cold hitting Rockie team will fix that.
Play Against
Road teams (COLORADO)
with a hot
starting pitcher- ERA less than 2.50 over his last 3 starts against opponent
with a cold starting pitcher- ERA >= 7.00 over his last 3
starts

343-276 since
1997.
55.4% (110.0 units)

Cook: COL 2-10 AWAY with a money line of -100 to -125
Duke: Pit 71-51 at
home when the total is 9 to 9.5

Florida +103

The fish at home at dog money are always worth a look. I know Pelfrey has
pitched well but Johnson has some sweet numbers too.

Pelfrey: NYM 5-13 AWAY with a money line of -100 to -125
Johnson:
FLA 48-34 when the total is 8.5 to 10 Play Against
Road
teams (NY METS)
starting a pitcher who did not walk a hitter last
outing, with a struggling bullpen whose ERA is over 6.00 the last 10
games

126-67 over the last 5
seasons.
65.3% (48.5 units)

Red Sox -1.5

No one seems to be hotter than the Angels right now but I am going to bet the
adjustment to Tex in the lineup will take some time to get used to. Beckett has
a way of salvaging the big game and getting his team on the winning track and
Manny could be headed to Philly so he will play well tonight against Saunders.
Won't lay the chalk so will lay the run.

Cleveland -1.5

The Tigers traded away a leader today and although they have a suitable
player in Inge watch for a fall out tonight.

Robertson: 5-10 TSR against Cleveland
Lee: 15-5 TSR in all games

Play On
Any team (CLEVELAND)
with a starting
pitcher whose ERA is 4.20 or better on the season (AL) against opponent with a
starting pitcher whose WHIP is 1.500 to 1.600 on the
season-AL

219-112 over the last 5
seasons.
66.2% (71.7 units)
