If not for the big first inning yesterday the D-backs may have gotten the win. Livan has better numbers than the Moose and the bullpen is much better for Arizona. Finally welke is behind the plate and he ia road umpire (8-4) on the season.

I am looking for a bit of a hangover from this club after the great pitching performance by Verlander yesterday. Capuano has been known to control a game and I like him at this price today.

The wind is blowing out of the park today toward the cove and plenty of balls should make a splash landing. After an impressive start Lincecum has started to struggle and the opposition has hit him in his last three outings and I don’t look for that to get better with an ERA of 9.00 in day games. Barksdale is behind the plate and this guy averages 11 runs per game!! That is 3 more than we need on average!!
